Overview of the Computer Curriculum
Through the Computer and Technology Curriculum, students practice basic typing skills and learn to master various software programs, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, KidPix Deluxe 4, and Jumpstart Typing. Using computers is integrated into teaching and learning throughout each area of the curriculum by both teachers and students for research, presentations, enrichment, reinforcement, independent learning, and assessment. Computers are used in whole-class settings, and the program is in accordance with the Catholic schools curriculum guidelines and the Massachusetts state computer frameworks. All students at SMA are required to sign an internet safety form.
